What Would You Do? The Practice of Connecting.
Lately, we’ve been talking about whether smart phones (and our addictions to them) are chipping away at the fabric of society, whether we lead double lives by projecting ourselves differently on Facebook than we are in real life, and whether checking our phones so often has a cost.
Today we delve a little more into the practice of connecting in general.

If you have a few minutes, I’d love for you to watch this video and think with me about the elements involved in connecting with people (online or face-to-face).
For example:
- What do you think you would do if you passed by this couple?
- Have you ever opted to be confrontational or to intervene on behalf of a stranger?
- What do you think makes some people, although obviously concerned, keep walking?
- What is it that motivates us to act?
Feel free to answer in the comments and, then, check back tomorrow to see where the conversation takes us.
