Creative Projects

Here are some of the good projects gaining my applause for their work bringing people together around good things:

  • First, a brief news-byte from my part of the world: this week, friends Jay Cordova and David Buchanan launched Jacksonopolis to help our community stay connected. I took the photo above at the launch party hosted at the Hub here in Jackson. Any community could do this. Seriously.
  • Allison Getty, a former Dream Year Weekend attendee, immediately impressed me with her initiative and vision. Recently, I was thrilled to get an email from her announcing the launch of her evolving dream, To-Do-DC.
  • Speaking of Dream Year, a former dream year coaching participant–Guy Delcambre–is almost done with his year-long book project and has given me the pleasure of editing it. If you haven’t read any of his story yet, get to his blog today.
  • Plus did I mention one of the authors participating in my series about self-publishing and e-publishing got a big momentum push from Dream Year Weekend as well? Pay attention to Mike Hall’s answers in this Epub post.
  • Along similar lines, friend Elora Nicole also just released her e-book entitled When Beauty Pursues You. You can get if for just $1.99 or read more about it here.
  • The Wild Goose Festival just released a 2011 Highlights Video today. Wild Goose is a 4-day, outdoor festival where adults, families, and children come together for live concerts, social justice speakers, and tent-living on 72-acres of North Carolina Farm country. You can check out the 4-minute video of what the event is like here.
  • This spring, People of the Second Chance will be launching the NEW POTSC 6 step process. This breakthrough curriculum will be a 6 week transformational group experience that consists of powerful assessment, discovery and group interaction. This process is currently being tested in focus groups around the country and we can’t wait to share more with you over the next few months. More soon…stay tuned.
  • Thinkers and artists are also invited to contribute their work to the POTSC Pinterest page, which until now has hosted all the awesome images from POTSC campaigns (which are still visible). If interested in having your art added, email karen (at) potsc (dot) com.
  • Did you hear that STORY sponsor, Clark Media, is opening a new office in Dallas? Congratulations Houston, Mark and friends. A tip of the Cowboy hat to your new place.
