Relationships aren’t always easy.

There are moments of tension.
Clashes of opinion.
Even breaking points. Times when two or more people can no longer stand together.

When that crossroads comes,
And friendship stretches unbearably thin,

Resolve that if you cannot stand with them,
That you will not stand against them.

Insist on giving your blessing,
And insist on taking theirs.

Pledge to be sad when you hear they struggle.
And happy when you hear they succeed.

And you may just find, with sweet, sweet time, your friendship survives afterall.
