Sean Astin at Story Chicago

Breaking news, my friends.

Screen legend Sean Astin has just announced he will be joining STORY’s speaking roster this week in Chicago.

Yes. THAT Sean Astin.

The one who first graced the big screen in films like the Goonies and Encino Man, but really won America’s hearts playing Notre Dame football legend, Rudy. Most famously, of course, he played the devoted hobbitt Samwise in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which won eleven academy awards. And more recently, Sean starred in the TV series 24 and played the role of Matthew in The Truth & Life Dramatized audio New Testament Bible.

Sean joins an already stellar speaking lineup which you can see here.

Among them are other movie-lovers favorites, Ed Saxon (Philadelphia, Silence of the Lambs producer), Kyle Cooper (title sequence designer for Spiderman and Braveheart), Ted Dekker (Thr3e writer), Jared Hogan (STORY’s Among Us director), Nathan Corrona (8mm filmmaker), Santino Stoner (director of the Nooma videos & STORY’s One Thousand Premieres project) and Naima Lett (Benjamin Button, Leaves of Grass, Prison Break).

Yes. Them —PLUSSean Astin.

One more reason you need to make some quick travel plans to join me at STORY. Register for one of the remaining tickets to see Sean HERE.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, **I need some time to swoon.** =)

Haha. I am pretty happy. When you’re part of the core cast for a film that shares the record for the most academy awards of all the films ever made… I’d say your work gets to be considered something legendary.
