The 3rd Eye You Always Wanted

Iraqi artist  and NYU professor Wafaa Bilal has a track record of modifying his body to physically become part of his art.

Hence, his latest project, 3rdI, which he had to undergo surgery to pull off.

Yes, surgery.

No lie. He had a digital camera surgically embedded in the back of his head.

In case the intention isn’t obvious, it’s his “third eye” of sorts. At least for the year he plans to have the camera screwed into his head.

His third eye, as it turns out, is even a little savvier than the other two, as it is programmed to take a pic every minute, on the minute, throughout the next year of his life.

The whole thing starts TODAY.

As the hours of his life unfold, you can bet the series of pics will reflect something about the human condition.

Like possibly why we are better off not knowing what is going on behind our backs.
