Cheers To Dreaming
Yesterday, Christina Faith approached me at Dream Year Weekend in DC.
“I took a picture of you when you weren’t looking.” She said.
(This is almost always bad news, right?)
(Just tell me I wasn’t picking my nose.)
“I couldn’t help it.” Christina explained, “You were just standing there looking out at all of us like a mother hen who was proud of all her chicks.”
She sent me the photo (above) today.
And while I don’t get to claim any motherly-credit for these dreamers and the things God is stirring in their hearts, Christina named the emotion correctly.
Seeing people chase the things that are burning most brightly in their spirits, seeing them come alive under encouragement, seeing them come to believe that ideas they’ve been wrestling with for years can be brought to reality… my heart can’t resist being caught up in their stories and their well-being.
I believe in every last one of them.
Cheers to dreaming!
(Note to DC dreamers: Thanks for all your text messages, tweets and emails. I know I promised some info to several of you who asked for info on my story and publishing journey. Look for that here…as soon as I recover.)

Love this. I love to see people believe God for the MORE he wants to do in and through them.

Are you sure your name is not Barnabas?
Sarah June 6, 2011 (2:44 pm)
@Tim, no…but I wish it was. It’d be cool to see people’s expressions when I introduced myself as Barnabas… :)

Sarah, I am officially a fan for life! You were a great joy to spend time with this weekend, I would have loved to have spent more time with you and heard more of your story. I am sure our paths will cross again someday. Thanks for being a breath of fresh air this weekend!
Sarah June 6, 2011 (3:29 pm)
Thanks Colleen. Your dream requires a lot of bravery of heart…to go into some of the most unloving situations and be love…but I believe you have what it takes to carry a blessing to those who need it. Rooting for you!
