Expectancy
This candid photo was snapped three weeks ago on a 72 acre farm in the summer heat of North Carolina.
I had just six weeks remaining in my pregnancy, as we counted down the days to meeting our second son.
Three more weeks have ticked off now and, as I look at the image of me, achy and smiling as the sun beat down, I wonder if the gracious photographer, Colin Wishart, had any way of knowing that the picture would serve as the perfect visual emblem of my year so far.
I’ve eased up on the blogging, wanting to be free to wait, to nest, to nurture.
Yet in a time when child-birthing takes center stage, spritzing life with anticipation, the background details have not faded to gray as I might’ve imagined. Instead, it’s as if the rest of my world has been challenged by a coming baby and seems to be rising to match it.
New places, people, projects, opportunities.
I feel a little bit more settled, waking up a little bit more fully into a new series of experiences that feel fresh and new each day.
I can’t wait to resume blogging soon and begin to share with you the layers of expectancy I’ve enjoyed recently.
Until then, thank you for your patience, for continuing to check in, and I hope there is newness and goodness stirring and about to break through the surface of your life as well.

I wondered what happened to you. Thanks for the update on your world. Praying your birth and transition welcoming a new one into your family is full of Him, tangible in every way.

I don’t have a chance to properly check out this web page at this point, but I book-marked it to look
at it afterwards. Thanks a lot for the guidance.
