Dear Plastic Surgeons, My Laugh Lines Are Not For Sale
You know.
Those curvy lines, drawn into the skin on either side of your mouth.
They’re like parentheses around your smile.
Or those tiny, teasing creases that lure your eyes into the smile action.
Dear sweet crinkles of happiness.
I will never let a surgeon fill these in, tighten them out, erase them away.
They are the product of a happy life.
A lot of doubled-over laughter had.
They are evidence I have smiled so many times…
it. wore. lines. right. into. my. face.
Women of the world,
Don’t hate on your faces.
Love those lines.
They are souvenirs of your life’s best moments displayed where you will never forget them.
